Following his departure from Belgium in 1994, Mike pursued studies in business administration in New York before relocating to Tampa Bay. There, he commenced his career in property management, subsequently transitioning into the realms of construction and development by 2002. Mike’s initial arrival in Playa del Carmen dates back to 2007, and since then, he has established permanent residence in Mexico.

Presently, he holds active membership status in both the United States National Association of Realtors (NAR) and the Mexican National Real Estate Association (AMPI). Additionally, Mike maintains enduring affiliations with international real estate firms spanning Europe and Canada.

Equipped with a comprehensive understanding of the real estate landscape in the Mayan Riviera and a meticulous approach to discerning investment patterns, Mike offers invaluable expertise to facilitate secure navigation of the intricate realm of international real estate investment.

Recently, Mike has published four practical Nomads Tax Guides designed specifically for AmericanBritishCanadian, and French-Canadian (Québécois) citizens who are planning to relocate and live abroad. Each book explains, in clear and straightforward language, how to navigate the tax implications of becoming an expatriate, helping readers make informed decisions before and after their move.
